So, where do you start?

Whether your Dealership is getting started with Social Media Marketing for the first time, or you’re looking for a new agency to carry your campaigns, you might be asking yourself one big question, “How do I choose the right Social Media Marketing agency for my Dealership?”

And we understand why. You’re trusting them with your platforms and, well, you’re spending money on them and you want to ensure you get your money’s worth.

So, how do you choose?

Check their platforms

If they’re going to be focusing on your Social Media platforms, they should have some of their own that are also quite active. See how they’re using their platforms and if their content is relevant. This will give you a good insight into their expertise, their understanding of Social Media, and what they’ll be able to do for you.

Pro tip: if they use their platforms (and website) to provide valuable information for FREE, you’ll know they aren’t afraid to show off their expert knowledge (meaning, they actually have it) and you’ll know they could be doing even MORE when working with you individually.

Take a look at client stories & case studies

Who have they worked with before/are working with now and what do they have to say? Or, better yet, do they have case studies? While testimonials can be a great way to see what other Dealerships have said, a case study will provide more detailed and relevant information. Not only will you see who they’ve worked with, but HOW they helped that Dealership. Nothing to hide!

What about their team?

An agency’s team is going to be YOUR team, so you’d probably want to know who they are. It should be easy to learn who works at that agency and who will be working on your campaigns. In most cases, you can find out by visiting their website or their Social Media profiles where they’ll probably be showing off their team. If not, ask them. Find out who will be working on your campaigns and how. The agency’s response should make you feel comfortable, confident, and maybe even a little bit excited.

Do they have excellent communication skills?

Their resume might say this, but do they walk-the-walk? Your agency should be in constant communication with you from the moment you begin a contract. Do they keep you in the loop with what’s happening on your Social Media profiles? Are they providing reports, can you give them a call when you need too? Are they easily and consistently reachable via email? If you answered “yes” then you’re likely to be in great hands.

Pro tip: the best way to find this out before you ‘officially’ hire them, is to test them during a trial. A confident agency will usually provide no-obligation trial periods, and this is an excellent opportunity to find all this out and more. So take advantage!
